Eagles Abroad: Weekend Preview

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

With one notable injured exception the season is over for Americans in Europe. With Saracens crashing out last week and the season wrapping up in the Pro D2 and RFU Championship only Samu Manoa's Toulon remains alive. Manoa is not going to play for the club in their semi-final nor in the final if they make it. He's injured and will be out until the season starts again late in the summer. With Europe mostly quiet that means that the action for Americans shifts to the Southern Hemisphere. Marcel Brache is one of those players and he returned to the Western Force line-up with a bang after scoring a try as the team beat the Reds. Also in Super Rugby, Toni Pulu was not in the line-up for the Chiefs as they drew with the Blues. He's unlikely to ever play for the Eagles because it would require using the 7s loophole. Lastly, James Hilterbrand and Zach Pangelinan are playing in Australia.
