Christian Ostberg Extends With Aurillac

Christian Ostberg will be staying in France after signing a three year extension with Aurillac. The 21-year old has spent the last two seasons with the club making eight total appearances with one start. Five of those appearances and a start came this season. However, both years have been beset with injuries of some form or another. Aurillac are a middle of the table club in the Pro D2. Other Americans in the Pro D2 next year include Eric Fry and David Tameilau.

Having a steady club in France is only going to help Ostberg try and crack into the Eagles. He made three appearances for the team at the Americas Pacific Challenge but hasn't been able to get on the ARC or full teams quad as of yet. Lock and second row are two of the deepest positions on the Eagles so it's hard to break in but at just 21 there is plenty of time left.
