Seattle Saracens Advance In BC Playoffs

The Seattle Saracens are moving on to the next round of the BC Premier League playoffs after they beat the UBCOB Ravens 46-22 at Magnuson Park. Seattle led 22-13 at halftime. They were also able to see the return of several veterans, like Mike Palefau, to the roster. Next Seattle will face regular season top team Burnaby Lake in the semi-finals. Burnaby Lake were 8-0 during the regular season, including a 31-15 win over Seattle earlier in the year. The other semi-final will see the Castaway-Wanderers take on UBC. The Thunderbirds beat James Bay. The Seattle Division 1 side lost to UBC in their playoffs.

The Saracens women also had success over the weekend. They beat the Burnaby Lake women 50-5. It was the last regular season match for both teams. The women finish the year as the number two team in the standings behind Westshore. That will give them a home semi-final against Cowichan.
