Psalm Wooching will get the opportunity to test himself against overseas professionals as he heads on trial to Pau next week. The former University of Washington football player has been playing with the Seattle Saracens in the BC Premier League. He's also been playing 7s with the club where he has drawn the attention of national team selectors. Wooching is still raw in rugby and transitioning from football but he has the ability to make an impact given time.
Another Blessed opportunity & start of my over seas experiences. Being brought in by professional French Top14 team Pau for a week trial.🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/M3xUDtz1wS— Psalm Wooching (@UWPsalmWooching) April 12, 2017
Pau are obviously on the lookout for the next big American player. Ever since Samu Manoa's breakout for Northampton several years ago teams have been looking for project players that can develop into superstars. The trial was apparently helped along by former Eagles coach Eddie O'Sullivan. Pau currently sit in the middle of the Top 14 table.
