Opening Kick

National Teams/MLR/ODAs:

The Eagles advanced to only their third ever Cup final but ultimately fell short to Canada in Singapore. To get their they beat Fiji in the quarterfinals and Australia in the semi-finals. Both were convincing wins on what was overall a solid weekend.

In pool play they beat Wales and Scotland before losing to New Zealand.

Patrick Johnston has a Canadian perspective on the Cup final. It was Canada's first title.

Steve Tomasin, Danny Barrett, and Perry Baker all made their way on to the Dream Team.

The High School All-Americans also lost to Canada over the weekend.

In the Varsity Cup quarterfinals Navy upset Central Washington and Cal beat Clemson. Arkansas State and Penn State also won. Our recap is coming shortly.

In DI-A play San Diego State beat Utah and Arizona had no trouble with Air Force.
