It looks like Eric Fry will be staying in France a little longer. The former Cal and current Eagle prop has signed a one year extension with Vannes with the option for an additional year. Fry has made 16 appearances for Vannes since joining at the beginning of the season, five of those starts. He's also chipped in a couple of tries. Vannes was actually his fourth club in 2016. He started the year with Newcastle, then he played for Sacramento in PRO Rugby before briefly joining Federale 1 side Saint Nazaire. After five appearances for that club he made the move to Vannes.
Fry is now becoming firmly entrenched as one of the Americans with the most overseas experience. He started by playing for Manawatu in what is now called the Mitre 10 Cup and then parlayed that into a move with London Scottish in the RFU Championship. After two seasons there he spent two seasons with Newcastle. Fry has also been a big part of the Eagles for many years. He's earned over 40 caps and will be a part of the team going into World Cup qualifying.
