The Women Eagles have finished their Vegas 7s campaign with a 31-7 loss to Canada in the 3rd/4th place match. Even though the result wasn't what they wanted the Eagles have to feel positive about a second straight tournament in which they finished in the top four. They finished second in Sydney a few weeks ago. With the fourth place spot The Eagles will stay in sixth place on the Series but are now just two points behind fourth place Fiji.
Canada opened up the scoring with Ghislaine Landry netting her first. The Eagles did rebound as Kristen Thomas slipped through to even things up at 7-7. But from then on out it was all Canada as the holes in the defense opened up. They also dominated most of the possession. Still, after the tournament Ryan Carlyle was positive about her team's performance.
