Joe Taufete'e will be staying at Worcester after signing a new contract with the club. The Eagles hooker was originally signed on a short-term deal back in December and has done well to earn his time on the team. He has been singled out by his coach in previous occasions for stepping up to help when the club needed. Now he's been rewarded with stability through next year. That is big, especially as a new father he can now feel comfortable brining his whole family over to England.
The move is also big for the Eagles. They need more front-row players getting valuable playing and training time. Having Taufte'e play with the Warriors is only going to make him better as the Eagles prepare for World Cup qualifying this summer and then the World Cup.

Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold said in a press release: “Joe has grabbed his opportunity with both hands in the cup competitions and has been rewarded with a call-up to our Premiership squad. His work rate has been tremendous and in his handful of appearances so far, he has looked a real threat with ball in hand while impressing at the set-piece. Hopefully he will continue to develop in the current environment and we look forward to seeing how far he can progress with his game.”
Taufete’e added in the same release: “I’ve quickly warmed to life at Warriors where there are a great bunch of players. It’s been great to get on the field and I’m looking forward to showing more of what I can do in the near future. I feel blessed to get this opportunity and I’d like to thank my wife for allowing me to chase this dream.”
