Pangelinan Moves To Randwick

Another American is on the move to the Southern Hemisphere. Long time OMBAC standout Zach Pangelinan is headed to Australia to play for Randwick in the Shute Shield. Pagnelinan has torn it up at the club level over the last several years leading the PRP in scoring multiple years and earning MVP honors. He's also spent time with the Eagles and Eagles 7s. Now, thanks to a connection from OMBAC and Randwick, Pangelinan will have the chance to test himself in Australia.

"I was given the opportunity to play in Sydney for Randwick rugby club," Pangelinan told TIAR. "A couple of the coaches asked me if I would play a season over there and I thought "why not."  I'll be there until the end of August but could possibly be there longer. The coaches came over and coached OMBAC for 2 seasons and they told me that if I wanted to test my skills then to come over."

  1. I'm surprised he didn't get a shot at the #15 jersey during the ARC, especially since we had so little depth at the position.

  2. This is great news. I've been a big fan of his from the few OMBAC matches I've been able to see online (live in the Midwest). Not sure how old he is, but hopefully this can be a good springboard into the Eagles.
