National Teams/ODAs:

Uruguay made the U.S. work for it but strong play from the bench was enough to give the Eagles the win in their ARC opener.

The Eagles had a good tournament in Sydney finishing in sixth place. They fell to Fiji in their final match.

To make the Plate final the U.S. lost to eventual champion South Africa in the quarterfinals and then beat Wales.

On day one the U.S. beat Argentina, Canada, before losing to Russia.

Very sad news that Joost van der Westhuizen has passed away.
