Eagles Picked To Play Canada

Eagles head coach John Mitchell continues to shift around his line-up as he experiments ahead of their match against Canada on Saturday. Todd Clever returns as captain while several other players that started against Uruguay in week one return.

In the forwards Tony Purpura and Chris Baumann return as the props while Peter Malcolm gets the nod at hooker. This is the same line-up as against Uruguay. Ben Tarr, Dino Waldren, and James Hilterbrand started last week and all are on the bench this week. Nate Brakeley and Nick Civetta will start in the locks for the third week in a row.

Rounding out the forwards are Clever, Tony Lamborn and Cam Dolan. Lamborn started last week and was one of the best players on the pitch for the Eagles while Clever and Dolan provided power off the bench. Mitchell had some choices in the forwards this week with the arrival of David Tameilau, who is on the bench along with John Quill and Siaosi Mahoni. Mahoni could make his Eagles debut.

There are only two backs reserves this week in the form of Cima and Spike Davis.
