The TIAR Awards continue to be close. Just like in our previous voting our Women's Club Player of the Year came down to a few percentage points. This year the award goes to Hannah Stolba from the Glendale Raptors. She registered 42% of the vote just edging out Kristine Sommer from the Seattle Saracens who got 38% of the vote. Hoper Rogers, the other finalist from the San Diego Surfers received 20% of the vote.
Stolba is more than a deserved winner. In 2015 Stolba hiked the Appalachian Trail which would have sapped energy from almost anyone. Instead, Stolba came back refreshed and better than ever. It started with an MVP performance against the Seattle Saracens in a high-profile friendly in January and then continued throughout the year with strong play for the Raptors in the WPL. In between she also played for Otago in New Zealand. All in all, a well deserved award.
