Showing well in the British Columbia top division and winning the Women's DI in convincing fashion was enough to convince voters to crown the Seattle Saracens with the TIAR Award for Women's Club of the Year. The Sarries have been a model for excellence for a number of years and that only got better this season. The team lost a few players to retirements and other moves, including some to the Olympic 7s program, in the offseason but that didn't slow them down this year. The likes of Kristine Sommer, Carly MacKinnon, Kelsi Stockert, and Naima Reddick were extremely powerful as the Saracens repeated in fashion. Maybe even better than the DI win was how they started their season in British Columbia in the fall. They look on their way to becoming champions there as well.
