TIAR Awards: PRO Rugby Player of the Year--Spike Davis

In our introduction to our poll we argued that no other player used PRO Rugby more to advance their career than Spike Davis. The Ohio Aviators winger had been on the radar before the season having spent time with the 7s team but few anticipated he would have the year he had as he finished as the leading try scorer in the league and led the Aviators to the most high-powered offense in the competition. Now he looks set to get his first cap for the Eagles during the ARC with his TIAR Award for PRO Rugby Player of the Year in hand.  Davis beat out Mike Te'o from San Diego and Volney Rouse from San Francisco for the award. Davis finished with 55% of the vote to Te'o's 27 and Rouse's 18%.
