Old Blue Unveil Spring Schedule

Old Blue have unveiled their spring scheduled for their elite and DII sides. Their elite team, which competes in the ARP in the fall, will have a busy schedule taking on a couple of college sides, ARP opponents Mystic River and NYAC, as well as several other top clubs. Their DII team will also play a couple of college teams as well as take part in the DII playoffs.

The season begins on February 18th with both teams taking on Penn State at State College. The next week they move on to face Army at West Point before heading to the Vegas 7s. That same weekend as the team has their 7s players involved with the Northeast Academy in Vegas they will take on the Baltimore-Chesapeake Brumbies at home. The rest of March has the elite team face Schuylkill River and the DII team play the Village Lions and New York Rugby Club.

The schedule really gets going in April when the elite team has a long list of tough matches. They open up with White Plains before taking on Rocky Gorge over Easter. That should be a mouth-watering match for fans as it pits two of the top East Coast teams against one another. The elite team then finishes off April by playing the Ontario Blues, one of the top teams in North America and perennial Canadian champions. The DII side will start the playoffs in April.  May has the elite team taking on NYAC at home and then traveling to the Chicago Lions.
