Familiar Faces Back For Falcons

There are plenty of familiar faces as the Falcons get set for their two week tour of South America. The team is loaded with players that have either played on the World Sevens Series or have been in multiple 7s camps. Leading the team is capped Eagle Aladdin Schirmer. Joining him is standout JP Eloff who will get his first significant run of 7s for awhile. Cody Jerabek, who really broke out in PRO Rugby last season is also on the roster as are returnees Walt Elder, Alex Elkins, Alex Faison-Donahoe, Matt Hughston, Tua Laei, Anthony Welmers, and Joey Sok. Coming into the team are Chris Mattina from NYAC and Havea Unufe, the little brother of Maka Unufe. Havea previously played with the College All-Americans.

The first stop for the team is the Punta del Este 7s in Uruguay this weekend followed by the Vina del Mar 7s in Chile. The Falcons made this same trip last year and it paid off as several members of the team were able to push for a spot on the Rio team, making the eventual side that went to Brazil the best possible side at the time. It's expected that many of these players will also be involved for the Falcons in Vegas.

Squad: Walt Elder, Alex Elkins, JP Eloff, Alex Faison-Donahoe, Matt Hughston, Cody Jerabek, Tua Laei, Chris Mattina, Aladdin Schirmer, Joey Sok, Havea Unufe, Anthony Welmers
