Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

The tries came in droves for Americans overseas last weekend. Cup play at several levels of European rugby meant that players were going to have an opportunity to play and they delivered. In the Champions Cup, Chris Wyles scored a try for Saracens as they ran all over AJ MacGinty's Sale side. MacGinty did manage to pick up a penalty for Sale, which was once again their only points. In the Challenge Cup, Taku Ngwenya scored just a minute into Brive's match against Enisei. Brive also went on to win that match in big fashion.

Thretton Palamo got good time for Bristol over the weekend and he showed he probably deserves more time with a try as they beat Pau. It was good for Palamo to get back out on to the pitch. Also playing a lot of minutes over the weekend was Nick Civetta who went a full shift for Newcastle in the Challenge Cup. Not in European play but in the Pro D2 David Tameilau scored a try for Narbonne and Eric Fry started for Vannes.
