Eagles Abroad: Weekend Preview

There are lots of Americans going to be busy this weekend. The European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup resume this weekend and that means a lot of Americans are going to be involved. One of the most appealing matches for fans is the match between Saracens and Sale. Both Chris Wyles and AJ MacGinty will start. Also starting in the Champions Cup is Samu Manoa who is once again a big presence on Toulon. In the Challenge Cup, Nick Civetta will get the start for Newcastle. Thretton Palamo, Taku Ngwenya, and Blaine Scully will all also start.

Outside of the European cup play Americans will be busy in the Pro D2. Christian Ostberg is out injured which means he won't be able to line-up against Eric Fry who will start for Vannes. Fry is slowing moving into a starting role for the club. David Tameilau will start for Narbonne.

British Isles:

Champions Cup

Chris Wyles will start while Titi Lamositele is not in the line-up for Saracens as they play Sale on Saturday. AJ MacGinty will start for Sale.

Greg Peterson is still injured and not in the line-up while Langilangi Haupeakui is also not in the line-up for Glasgow as they play Racing on Saturday.

Callum Black isn't in the line-up for Ulster as they play Clermont on Saturday.

Challenge Cup

Nick Civetta will start while Paddy Ryan isn't in the line-up for Newcastle as they play Lyon today.

Thretton Palamo will start for Bristol as they play Pau on Sunday.

Sam Underhill is on the bench for the Ospreys as they play Grenoble today. He's also likely to play for England or Wales before the Eagles.

Blaine Scully will start while Cam Dolan isn't in the line-up for Cardiff as they play Bath on Saturday. Dolan will start for the Cardiff Premiership Select against Ulster A in the British & Irish Cup.

British & Irish Cup
