The College All-Americans are heading back to Queensland for the second year in a row. The announcement came as the team put out a release looking for players. Last year Gavin Hickie's team made the trip and played well against some top teams. They lost narrowly to the Queensland Premier Barbarians, lost to the Brothers, a powerhouse club in Brisbane, by two points, and beat the Darling Downs Select Side. Overall, it was a great learning experience for the players involved with several players moving on to play for the USA Selects in the Americas Pacific Challenge and the Eagles on their November tour. Bryce Campbell was a big name to come out of the side. Next year will provide the same opportunity.
Along with Hickie, team manager Justin Hickey is back with the team. The team is holding a selection camp in January and interested players are invited to check out the Men's College All-American page on USARugby.org. The team provides a critical link between the Junior All-American program, which is trying to qualify over Canada for the JWRT for the second year in a row, and the Eagles.
