Opening Kick

Opening Kick is a segment devoted to bringing you all Eagles and U.S.A. Rugby news in one location. It is brought to you everyday by Rugby Marketplace, your independent rugby store

National Teams/PRO Rugby/ODAs:

Mike Friday has named a 13-man squad for Dubai and Cape Town (trimmed to 12 later). No Carlin Isles but a lot of new faces.

The Women Eagles had some good moments but lost to France for the second time in a week.

It was a busy weekend for the Northeast Academy. Not only did they win the New York 7s (report to come) but they partnered with Samurai and Sean Horan retired.

Alex Goff has more on Notre Dame College and their DI-AA win, Alabama winning the SCRC title,  Middle Tennessee State, and Bowling Green.

Take the jump to read more.

Australia missed out on a grand slam in their loss to Ireland and Michael Chieka wasn't pleased.

England cruised past Argentina but lost Billy Vunipola for the Six Nations.

Scotland also won easily beating Georgia. Other winners include South Africa over Wales and New Zealand over France.

Planet Rugby has their latest edition of who's hot and who's not.
