Utah Premier Division Playoffs Set

With one week to go in the Utah Men's Premier Division the Brothers have sewn up first place after beating the Spartans 18-17 in a tense match. The two teams had been one and two in the standings heading into the weekend with the Spartans occupying the first place. However, the win by the Brothers now puts them on 22 points while the Spartans have 20. There is still one weekend to go in the competition but the Brothers play Liberty next weekend who have forfeited all of their matches so far which will guarantee the Brothers five points.

The other two spots in the playoffs have also been sewn up with a week to go. The Brothers and the Spartans will be there as will the Gladiators and the West Valley Lions. The Gladiators beat United 40-33. The Lions had been scheduled to play Liberty but played the Spartans second side and won big.

Next week Park City Haggis will play United and the Spartans will play the Gladiators. Teams missing out on the playoffs include Park City, United, and Liberty.
