Seattle Picks Up Important Win

It's been a busy week for the Seattle Saracens. The club faced a crucial set of matches over the weekend in the Mainland Cup against Capilano on the road. It was tight but the Saracens emerged with a 20-18 win at Klahanie Park. The win moves Seattle to 2-1 on the year and has them in third place ahead of rivals UBC but behind UBCOB and Burnaby Lake. Also for the club, Matt Trouville was back out on the pitch after a long injury layoff. The reserve team lost 20-0 but the Women Saracens won 35-20 in an exhibition match.

In addition to the results the club had two players named to the Eagles Selects APC team. Aladdin Schirmer already has a cap and is back in the side while Cecil Garber, who played with San Diego in PRO Rugby, gets his first chance. The clubs also saw current UW football star and Saracens 7s player Psalm Wooching earn the Walter Camp award while playing with the Huskies.
