Glendale Raptors Hosting Combine

Glendale, CO - The Glendale Raptors Rugby Football Club announces an exciting milestone on the road towards the 2017 spring season of elite rugby in Glendale, CO. The club is set to host their first open combine and tryouts for athletes who are hoping to play elite rugby beginning January 2017.

The 1-day combine is in Glendale, CO at Infinity Park Sports Field on Sunday, November 13, 2016.

Registration: 8-8:45am
AM Session: 9am-12pm
Lunch: 12-1:30pm
PM Session: 1:30-5:00pm

Coaches from all team divisions (Elite, D2, D3) will be available to gauge player athleticism and abilities. Athletes must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the combine. No application is required, however, all athletes must register and pay a $30 fee, which covers lunch, support staff and a t-shirt. Athletes interested in a future in 15s or 7s rugby are welcome to attend the combine.

The combine will be the first opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their skills and abilities to their newly developed men's elite team. With rugby growing exponentially in the United States, the Glendale Raptors are seeking to build its player pool while simultaneously offering athletes the opportunity to pursue playing contracts.

Pre-season training will begin the week of November 28th and will run through the start of the season on January 28, 2017. The official season will run from January 28, 2017 through June 3, 2017.

All athletes 18 years of age or older are welcome and encouraged to register to attend the combine.
