Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

A couple of Americans picked up tries over the weekend as results for their teams was mixed. Tony Lamborn continued his strong play for Hawke's Bay helping his team to a win over Otago. It wasn't just that he scored a try in the match but that he was a presence throughout. Chris Baumann unfortunately had to miss out for Wellington with a concussion. Also in the Southern Hemisphere, James Hilterbrand started for the Sydney Rays as the National Rugby Championship in Australia is winding down. Marcel Brache, who rumor has it he could be called into the Eagles, played once again for the Perth Spirit.

Up in the Northern Hemisphere Chris Wyles started and played 80 minutes for Saracens. Titi Lamositele made an appearance off the bench. It was the same in Cardiff where Blaine Scully played the full match and Cam Dolan came off the bench. Other players to see time include AJ MacGinty and U.S.-eligible Callum Black. Ronnie McLean and others saw time at the lower levels of rugby.
