Women Eagles Adding To Staff

As the Women Eagles 15s and 7s teams drive to the World Cup in Ireland next year, the 2018 RWC 7s in San Francisco, and the 2020 Olympics they are adding to their staff. Currently the team is looking for an Assistant Coach, Team Manager, Performance Analyst, and Head of Physical Development for the 7s team based in Chula Vista. While the jobs focus on 7s at the moment it's nature to see some crossover to 15s as has been the case in the past. One of the main reasons for adding staff is making sure that the team has the right performance pathway in place to train and identify the top group of players.

"We are excited to build a complete and robust high performance program that can not only support the WOmen Eagles and sevens programs, but will also provide expertise throughout the pathway," said Women Eagle head coach Peter Steinberg in a U.S.A. Rugby press release. 7s coach Richie Walker added "when I came into the program as the head coach in April before the Olympics, I identified a couple of areas that needed improvement. If we want to compete with teams like gold medalist Australia and New Zealand we need to bring expertise to the program that can help us maximize our performance both at practice and on the pitch on match day."
