Shaw & Ferrarini Returning To Europe

A couple of Ohio Aviator players are on the move as they look for time in the PRO Rugby offseason. Scrumhalf Robbie Shaw is moving back to England to play with his old club Hartpury while Filippo Ferrarini is back in Italy playing with Mogliano. Shaw played with Hartpury last season as the team missed out on promotion to the RFU Championship. As a team made up of a lot of students Shaw will be a steadying presence for the team once again. Through three matches Hartpury sit at the top of the table in the National League One. Shaw previously played for Esher and Richmond in the National League One and London Scottish, Yorkshire Carnegie, and Bristol in the RFU Championship.

Ferrarini moves back to his native Italy and will play with Mogliano in the Eccellenza. Their season has yet to start. Prior to joining Ohio he spent several seasons with Zebre in the Pro12 and before that the short-lived Aironi. Like Shaw, Ferrarini was a veteran presence on the Aviators that proved to be very versatile. Both Shaw and Ferrarini should see their seasons finish close enough in time to the PRO Rugby season to return if they would like.
