Pierce Dargan Returns To Trinity

Another PRO Rugby player is headed over to Europe. This time it's Ohio's Pierce Dargan who returns to his stomping grounds at Trinity. Dargan was a key piece of the Trinity team that earned promotion to the All Ireland League Division IA this past season and will be counted on once again as the team looks to stay there. Trinity is of course known for having a number of other Americans, including capped Eagle Tim Maupin and All-American Conor Kearns. Former Cal player Jesse Milne and All-American Oisin Brady are also on the team. It wouldn't be a shock to see Kearns in an Eagles shirt sometime soon.

Dargan was also a key piece for for the Aviators as they came so close to a PRO Rugby championship. He helped form a very solid forward pack and was able to fill in at lock and in the back-row. Dargan isn't the tallest player for a lock but he does a lot of the small things well.

Along with Dargan Eric Fry (St. Nazaire), Dom Waldouck (Newcastle, who also signed for the rest of the season today), Jamie Mackintosh (Pau), and Chris Baumann (Wellington) have all made moves overseas since the PRO Rugby season.
