Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Samu Manoa saw his first major action of the season for Toulon as he went a full 80 minutes over the weekend. It's no coincidence that his play coincided with one of Toulon's best outings of the season. Toulon have had some starts and stops this year and having a fully healthy Manoa is going to be big. The same goes for the Eagles who could use him in their line-up. Also in France, Eric Fry started and played 78 minutes for St. Nazaire as they started the season. He needs regular time to get back in the Eagles picture and time with Sacramento and now in France should certainly help.

Elsewhere, it wasn't a very busy weekend for Americans overseas. None of the Americans on U.S.-eligible players in the Premiership and the Pro12 were in the line-ups for their respective teams. Down in the lower divisions players saw time. We'll update players playing in the reserves later.
