Eagles Abroad: Weekend Preview

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

The Premiership and Pro12 seasons get underway this weekend which means that a large chunk of Americans playing overseas are going to get a chance to play. One of those players is AJ MacGinty, who will start for his new club Sale against Newcastle. Unfortunately none of the other Americans in the Premiership will be starting. Chris Wyles had the best chance but coming off the Olympics it makes sense he misses the first week. In the Pro12 Blaine Scully will start for Cardiff while Cam Dolan is on the bench. It's going to be a big year for both of those players at the club. Greg Peterson played Canada 'A' earlier in the week and won't play against Connacht. Down in France Samu Manoa misses out but Christian Ostberg continues to see time. Back in England Ronnie McLean will start for Richmond as they open up their RFU Championship campaign.
