Mike Tolkin Returning To NYAC

Former Eagles head coach Mike Tolkin is returning to New York Athletic Club as head coach. Tolkin led the lead during the last World Cup cycle and prior to that was the head coach at NYAC and at Xavier High School. While at NYAC in the past Tolkin led the team to a lot of success, including multiple Rugby Super League titles. He was also an assistant coach with the Eagles in the 2011 World Cup cycle.

The move comes as NYAC are gearing up for another run in the American Rugby Premiership. NYAC had a disappointing season by their standards finishing in third place behind Life and Old Blue. The year before they finished second to Life. With players like Nate Brakeley and Al McFarland NYAC have consistently been one of the top teams in the country and Tolkin's experience is only going to push them.
