Life ETG Squad Undergoing Transformation

The Life men's club team is undergoing a transformation that will see it blend more in harmony with the men's college team. A rule change within the school now requires players to be enrolled. Players were grandfathered in but with players departing to PRO Rugby and other opportunities, aka AJ MacGinty, there was a need to blend more of the Club and college team together. Eventually it will mainly be college players on the ETG squad.

This doesn't mean that the men's Elite Training Group is going away just that it will no longer be a full member of the ARP. Instead it will play a series of friendlies with ARP sides Mystic River, Old Blue, and NYAC as well as anyone else willing. The team is also likely to play the likes of Charlotte, New Orleans, and Old White. After their fall season with the ETG team they will reasses what works best for them.

  1. Hint that PRO is putting a team in Atlanta?

  2. What does this mean: "with players departing to PRO Rugby and other opportunities, aka AJ MacGinty, there was a need to blend more of the Club and college team together?" Does this mean that Life were investing in players, only to see them depart for better opportunities; that their ROI wasn't sustainable?
