Eagles Abroad: Weekend Preview

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Here we go! Not only does the Mitre 10 Cup start this weekend but so does the Top 14 which means plenty of Americans and U.S.-eligible players are going to be involved. Straightaway Chris Baumann is going to see action for Wellington as he is set to start. He's going to go up against Eagles teammate Tony Lamborn who will start for Hawke's Bay. Lamborn is coming off playing for the Super Rugby champions the Hurricanes. Toni Pulu, who did a lot of work for the Chiefs this year didn't play for Countie Manukau while Pasqualle Dunn isn't in the line-up for Auckland.

Over in France Samu Manoa and Toulon will get things started on Sunday against Bayonne. The lower divisions in France don't get going until later but there is more news from France as Gagi Bazadze has signed with Montpellier on a medical joker. Also in Europe teams in the UK and and Ireland are in pre-season mode.
