Men & Women Eagles Learn Olympic Match Times

Last week it was the draw and this week we've learned the times for the men's and women's matches at the Rio Olympics. For the U.S. men things start on August 9th when they take on Argentina at 12:00 p.m. et/9:00 a.m. pt. They then finish out the day--remember it's a three day tournament--with hosts Brazil at 5:00 p.m. et/2:00 p.m. pt. On day two, August 10th, the U.S. will take on Fiji, which could decide the pool, at 12:30 p.m. et/9:30 a.m. pt. The knockout round will start in the afternoon with the Cup quarterfinals and the 9th place matches. The finals will take place on August 11th.

The women start their tournament on August 6th when they play Fiji at 12:00 p.m. et/9:00 a.m. pt. Their second match on day one has them against Colombia at 5:00 p.m. et/2:00 p.m. pt. If the U.S. wins both of those matches they will be assured a spot in the Cup quarterfinals. The team finishes pool play on August 7th against Australia at 12:30 p.m. et/9:30 a.m. pt. Yep, both the men and women play at the same times just on different days. Like the men's tournament the Cup quarterfinals take place on the same day as the last pool match. The finals take place on August 8th.
