PRO Rugby Power Rankings: Ohio Remain First

No change to the top of our rankings with Ohio still number one and Denver number two. However, San Diego move up despite a bye week.

1. Ohio (6-3-0, 32 points; LW: 1; beat San Francisco 71-20): After looking to be out of the title hunt a few weeks back Ohio has responded in a big way. They still have yet to score less than 50 points in Obetz and they topped themselves with a record 71 points against San Francisco last week. Their offense is clicking at the right time and their defense is so good because they starve others of the ball. The biggest question for Ohio is if it's too late to catch Denver. Up next: San Diego

2. Denver (7-1-0, 31 points; LW: 2; beat Sacramento 29-13): Denver were tested by an improving Sacrament side last weekend but they still came away with the win. They are now just a couple of matches away from clinching the top spot. They are a grind-em out type of team at the moment and once they get players back from international absence they are going to be that much stronger. Up next: Bye

3. San Diego (4-4-0, 23 points; LW: 4; Bye): The Breakers had the weekend off and that probably came at a good time. They need to regroup ahead of the final part of the season. Up next: at Ohio

4. San Francisco (2-6-0, 12 points; LW: 3; lost to Ohio 71-20): It's harsh to drop San Francisco down after just one loss but they didn't look very good against Ohio and that is going to take them down a notch. They were on a roll before this results and with three home matches coming up they may be able to find that groove again. Up next: Sacramento

5. Sacramento (1-6-0, 5 points; LW: 5; lost to Denver 29-13): After more than a month off Sacramento got back at it over the weekend. All things considered, including international absences, they looked much improved. They've always had the tools to be a strong team but they need to find depth. Having Harry Bennett has helped. Up next: at San Francisco

5. Sacramento (1-5-0; LW: 5; Bye): The Express conclude their long break this weekend as they make the trip to Denver. Up next: Denver

  1. How does the altitude change in Denver affect the players?
It usually takes me a couple of days to adjust to altitude after coming from a home a sea level.

Usually headaches for a couple of days.
How do the players deal with Denver trips?
