Fry Signs With Sacramento, PRO Rugby Weekend Rosters

Eric Fry has been rumored to be joining PRO Rugby since his season with Newcastle finished last month and finally it's happened. TIAR can confirm that Fry has signed with PRO Rugby for the rest of the season. Like with all contracts Fry has signed with the league but will play in Sacramento, his hometown. Sacramento already had a solid prop group with Val Lee-Lo and Ollie Kilifi and this just strengthens it. Fry will start for the Express this weekend against Denver.

Also making the start for Sacramento is Cam Falcon who is filling in for Ray Barkwill who is with Canada. Additionally, John Quill gets a break and Langilangi Haupeakui is with the Eagles meaning that Ryan Koewler and Kali Tavake will start in the flankers. The biggest news for the Express might be the return of Harry Bennett to his role as fly-half. Bennett was big for the team early on and his loss coincided with a string of bad results.

Denver will be missing their Eagles Chris Baumann, Ben Tarr, and Chad London once again. Those absences hurt last week against Ohio but overall Denver let themselves down. They return close their full side once again led by Pedrie Wannenburg.

Both Ohio and San Francisco have made some changes to their team before Sunday. Nick Grass returns from suspension and will start for the club. They will be missing David Tameilau and Nick Blevins but they still have Orene Ai'i on the roster. No Mils Muliana this week. For Ohio it's close to the same roster as last weekend but with Zac Mizell sliding in at fly-half.
