Eagles Name Starters To Face Russia

The Eagles were always going to make some changes with injuries impacting a couple of players and some players leaving to go play 7s. As a result head coach John Mitchell has swapped out Andrew Durutalo for Tony Lamborn, the injured Greg Peterson for James King, and the injured Taku Ngwenya for Mike Te'o. Otherwise there aren't any other changes to the line-up except on the bench where Langilangi Haupeakui and Steve Tomasin could earn their first caps. Luke Hume also makes the gameday squad.  It's no surprise that the Eagles are going with the same line-up that played Italy last week. This core group is coming on well and there is really no reason to drop some of these players with only two tests this summer.

Of big note, Todd Clever is set to become the most-capped Eagle of all-time when he steps on to the pitch.

Forwards: Titi Lamositele, James Hilterbrand, Chris Baumann, Nate Brakeley, James King, Tony Lamborn, Todd Clever, Cam Dolan

Bench: Joe Taufete'e, Ben Tarr, Angus MacLellan, Harry Higgins, Langilangi Haupeakui, Steve Tomasin, Chad London, Luke Hume
