PRO Rugby Power Rankings: San Diego & Ohio Swap

There is some change in this week's power rankings. Denver stay on top after another impressive win but San Diego and Ohio will swap places thanks to San Diego's win between the two teams. Sacramento and San Francisco keep their places. Also of note this week is that every team has played each other once and all have played four times.

1. Denver  (4-0-0; LW: 1; beat Sacramento 35-13): No reason to bump Denver down after another very strong showing. They seem to be getting better and better every match. It's scary to think that they are 4-0 and now have players like Zach Fenoglio, Martin Knoetze, Armandt Peens, and Mose Timoteo, who all played with the Glendale Raptors last week, available for the rest of the season. Good depth is going to be key the rest of the season.  Up next: San Francisco

2. San Diego (3-1-0; LW: 3; beat Ohio 24-20): It wasn't always assured but Charlie Purdon's last second try gave San Diego a win and pushed them to 3-1 on the year. It is still very early but right now they are the only team within a match of Denver at the top of the table. San Diego proved a lot to themselves and the rest of the league that they are one of the teams to beat. Up next: Bye

3. Ohio (2-2-0; LW: 2; lost to San Diego 24-20): Ohio were right there at the end and you have to feel like if JP Eloff were healthy they could have won that match. Now they have been hit by the injury bug and are going to have to figure something out going forward. That said, they have shown time and time again that they are a very good team. Up next: Sacramento

4. Sacramento (1-3-0; LW: 4; lost to Denver 35-13): The final score doesn't really represent how much Sacramento were in their match against Denver. They continue to do many things well but it's the little things that are continuing to bite them. Up next: Ohio

5. San Francisco (0-4-0; LW: 5; Bye): San Francisco had a much needed week off to regroup after their winless first third to the season. They will have a tough match up next when they take on Denver. Up next: Denver
