Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

The season may have finished for many Americans overseas last weekend but it ended with a bang. Chris Wyles and Saracens are not only European champions but champions of England as well after beating Exeter in the final. Wyles continued his hot streak with yet another try. He's scored 11 tries total (5 in Europe and 6 in the Premiership) this season while playing over 2000 minutes in 28 matches. AJ MacGinty helped Connacht to the Pro12 championship with a phenomenal performances on Saturday. MacGinty was a major presence for the team with a conversion and a penalty. MacGinty finished the season having played in 16 matches with two tries, 12 penalties, and 9 conversions.

Elsewhere, Andrew Durutalo is done for the season with the Sunwolves. He's set to link up with the U.S. 15s and 7s teams for the rest of the summer. The Sunwolves have games in July but Durutalo will be with the 7s team trying to prep for Rio. Also, Samu Manoa made a much awaited return from injury to play with Toulon.

Chris Wyles started, played 80 minutes, and scored a try for Saracens while Titi Lamositele was not in the line-up for Saracens as they beat Exeter 28-20 on Saturday.

AJ MacGinty started, played 80 minutes, and kicked a penalty and a conversion for Connacht as they beat Leinster 20-10 on Saturday.

Gagi Bazadze was not in the line-up for La Rochelle as they lost to Racing 92 30-14 last Friday.

Christian Ostberg and Aurillac beat Mont-de-Marsan 28-13 on Saturday.

Seta Tuilevuka and ROC La Voulte-Valence have finished their season.

Mate Moeakiola and Castanet have finished their season.

James Hilterbrand was not in the line-up for the Waratahs as play the Chiefs 45-25 last Friday. He will play with Manly in the Shute Shield instead.
