Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Chris Wyles joined elite company last Saturday as he became only the second American to play and win in the Champions Cup final. Dan Lyle with Bath in the old Heineken Cup was the only other player to do the same. The other Americans at Saracens, Titi Lamositele and Hayden Smith, both played during the run in the Champions Cup but did not play in the final in Lyon on Saturday. For Wyles it caps off yet another milestone in a very storied carrier. As a capped American he inherently has faced a disadvantage when it comes to selection because of the rules in England yet despite that he has become an integral part of the team. Congrats to him, Lamositele, and Smith. They will be going for the double in the Premiership playoffs next.
