PRO Rugby POTW, Standings, & Scoring Leaders

Things are starting to settle down after a thrilling first weekend of PRO Rugby. As the season moves along we're going to had out a weekly Player of the Week award as well as share the standings and scoring leaders.

Player of the Week: Will Magie

There were a lot of candidates in the first week. John Quill was excellent for Sacramento, as was Garrett Brewer, Ollie Kilifi and others. Jake Anderson was good for San Francisco. Roland Suniula has the distinction of scoring the first try in the competition. However, for us it came down to one name: Will Magie. It's hard not to give the award to the player that kicks a touch sideline conversion to win the inaugural match in overtime. That's ice (which is feasible given how cold it was in Colorado) in the veins sort of stuff. If you missed it, the kick is below.

Standings

Sacramento lead the table after one week of play as they were the only team to earn all five points. Denver are second thanks to their win. Both San Francisco and Ohio picked up bonus points.  San Francisco for scoring three tries and Ohio for the close loss.
