Junior All-Americans Picked For Pool Topping Showdown

Once again the Junior All-Americans have shaken up their line-up as they get set for their top of the pool clash against Spain tomorrow. The only changes in for the forwards have Mason Pedersen returning at prop, Deven Marshall at lock which means Malon Al-Jiboori moves to flanker. In the backs Ben Cima still starts but moves back to fly-half. He'll partner with Louis Mulholland who returns to start. Rodney Giles and Mitchell Wilson come in at wing and fullback respectively with Travis Heer and Ruben De Haas getting a break.

Anything less than a win against Spain won't work for the Eagles. Spain have 10 points and lead the pool and the Eagles have 7. The U.S. can win with a victory if they don't let Spain have any bonus points assuming that head to head is the first tie-breaker. If the U.S. pick up all five points they can even give up bonus points to Spain and be fine.

The U.S. put themselves in a position to win the pool and advance to the JWRT championship match with a 32-12 win over Hong Kong last Saturday. That, coupled with Spain's win over Namibia, set up the big showdown. Spain can't be taken lightly. They've taken every point available to them so far and have scored 40 and 44 points respectively. Their defense has also been good.

The match starts at 10:00 a.m. et/7:00 a.m. pt and can be found on YouTube.
