Junior All-American Starters Named For Hong Kong Clash

The Junior All-Americans have made a few changes to their roster ahead of their match against Hong Kong tomorrow. Overall, head coach JD Stephenson has made six changes to his starting line-up, two in the forwards and four in the backs. Ben Cima is still in the starting line-up but he'll move from fly-half to fullback. Life's Duncan Van Schalkwyk will start at fly-half. Cima's halfback mate from the Namibia match, Louis Mulholland, will move to the bench in favor of Ruben De Haas.

Also in the backs Lorenzo Thomas has been forced out with a knee injury. Tyler Sousley and Travis Heer will step into the starting line-up. In the forwards Roman Salanoa will get his chance at prop in place of Mason Pedersen and Veuki Taumefolau will start at flanker. Malon Al-Jiboori will slide down to lock while Deven Marshall gets a break.

The U.S. are coming up against a Hong Kong team that lost their first match 44-8 to Spain. The U.S. are of course coming off their 46-44 loss to Namibia. This is a must win for the U.S. if they want to catch Namibia on a slip-up. The U.S. should be able to win the match handily but they can't relax. The age-grade level is notoriously unpredictable, especially with the use of experimental law variations.

The match starts at 10:00 a.m. et/7:00 a.m. pt and will supposedly be shown on The Rugby Channel but that was also promised before and it never showed up on the channel. World Rugby is also showing it on YouTube.

Forwards: Chance Wenglewski, Steven Branham, Roman Salanoa, Victor Comptat, Malon Al-Jiboori, Veuki Taumefolau, Brennan Falcon, Hanco Germishuys (C)

Backs: Ruben De Haas, Duncan Val Schalkwyk, Travis Heer, Brian Hannon, Devin Lim, Tyler Sousley, Ben Cima

Bench: Ruairi Van Raalte, Mason Pedersen, Bronson Teles, Deven Marshall, Chad Sneyd, Louis Mulholland, Rodney Giles
