Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Chris Wyles has given Saracens fans another reason to love him. The club booked their spot in the European Champions Cup semi-finals on Saturday thanks in part to a try from Wyles in the second half. That's now five tries for Wyles in six Champions Cup matches this season and eight tries total on the year. Titi Lamositele also came off the bench in the match. Saracens are the only team with Americans on it still in the competition. Samu Manoa's Toulon side lost their quarterfinal match. Manoa is still out injured. The European Challenge Cup won't have any Americans in the semi-finals after injured AJ MacGinty's Connacht lost.

Finally, most other leagues had the weekend off except for the Pro D2 where Taku Ngwenya once again scored for Biarritz. That's nine tries on the season for Ngwenya, putting him one shy of his league play record. He scored 14 tries for Biarritz in  2010-11 over Top 14 and Heineken Cup play.
