U.S. Teams Playing In Vancouver Rugby Festival

Like the Vegas 7s the Vancouver 7s has a club/elite side tournament attached to it. The Vancouver Rugby Festival may not have the same number of teams as the LVI but it's attracting some top teams, including the Women Falcons. Other U.S. teams playing in the tournament include men's and women's teams from the Stars, the girl's High School All-Americans, Washington Loggers, and the Central Washington Women.

The Women Falcons will once again go up against top competition. They are in Pool A of the Women's Elite bracket and will play Team Great Britain, France, and the Maple Leafs Red team. They are the four teams that made it to the semi-finals of the LVI meaning that the competition should be fierce. The Stars are in Pool B where they will play the Aptoella Angels and Maple Leafs White. Play int he Women's Elite begins on March 10th. All matches will be at beautiful (seriously, you should check this place out) Brockton Oval in Stanley Park. The final will be held in the BC Place Stadium on Sunday.

The Men's Elite will feature the Stars along with Fiji Blond, Maple Leafs, Prairie Wolf Pack, Ravens, and BC Rugby U-23s all in the same pool. Most of the teams are Canadian sides and it should be difficult competition as well. Some of the playoffs will take place on the 10th with the rest on the 11th.

The Central Washington Women will also be involved as they play in the Open division against BC U-23s, Grande Prairie Sirens, and the Valkyries.
