Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Once again all three Americans were on the pitch for Saracens but what made it different this weekend as that they were doing it on American soil. London Irish may have got most of the attention as the "home team" in Saturday's match in New York but for a lot of fans they were there to see Chris Wyles, Hayden Smith, and Titi Lamositele. Both Wyles and Smith started with Wyles coming off in the 79th minute for well deserved applause from the fans. Lamositele came on at halftime as Saracens won. When all is said and done that could be the last match on U.S. soil for both Wyles and Smith.

Elsewhere the Pro12 and most of the lower divisions had the weekend off. A notable exception was in France where Taku Ngwenya once again scored a try for Biarritz. Also, Christian Ostberg once again came off the bench for Aurillac. He's gaining good time with the club and it wouldn't shock us to see him called into the Eagles this summer.
