PRP Power Rankings: Glendale Wins Battle Of Top Sides

The Glendale Raptors hold the top spot in this week's power rankings once again. The SFGG Rhinos hold on to the second spot despite losing to the Raptors. Other movers this week including Belmont Shore and the Denver Barbarians going up.

1. Glendale Raptors (4-0-0; Last Week: 1; beat SFGG 29-24): It wasn't always looking like a win but a late and dramatic try from the Raptors was enough to give them a big road victory over rivals SFGG. Barring an upset everything will be in favor of the Raptors the rest of the season with only a slip-up or two preventing them from the top of the table. Another factor that is going to come up for the Raptors and the rest of the teams over the next few weeks is who gets PRO Rugby contracts. Up next: Bye

2. SFGG Rhinos (3-1-0; LW: 2; lost to Glendale 29-24): It must be tough for SFGG to swallow to be just minutes away from a good result to fall to a defeat. There is still a long way to go in the season and with a match against local rivals Olympic Club up next they have a great chance to rebound. Up next: Olympic Club

3. Belmont Shore (2-1-0; LW: 4; beat Santa Monica 57-0): Belmont Shore picked up a big win over Santa Monica. The result makes their opening week loss to SFGG look a little less harsh. If they can keep up this momentum, watch out. Up next: Denver Barbarians

4. OMBAC (2-1-0: LW: 3; Bye): OMBAC had the weekend off. It probably came at an unfortunate time considering they had some momentum. They will look to pick that up this week against a struggling Santa Monica team. Up next: Santa Monica Dolphins

5. Denver Barbarians (1-2-0; LW: 7; beat Olympic Club 22-14): A hat-trick from Michael Al-Jiboori helped the Barbarians pick up their first win of the season. It came at a great time and stopped their two match slid. The Barbarians have been a streaky team in the past so they'll hope this is the start of an upswing. Up next: Belmont Shore

6. Olympic Club (0-4-0; LW: 5; lost to Denver Barbarians 22-14): Another close result for Olympic Club who simply can't seem to get over the hump. They are right there time and time again and one of these days they are going to breakthrough. Up next: SFGG Rhinos

7. Santa Monica Dolphins (0-4-0; LW: 6; lost to Belmont Shore 57-0): Their are warning signs in the Dolphins camp. They were missing Harry Bennett against the Belmont Shore and it really hurt them. They are going to need to find a defensive solution soon. Up next: OMBAC
