Egan Picked To Lead San Diego PRO Side

Ray Egan has been picked as the head coach of the San Diego PRO Rugby team for the 2016 season. The long-time Belmont Shore shore and Regional Academy Director for Tiger Rugby bring plenty of contacts and experience with rugby in Southern California. The Ireland native played at Loughborough University in England as well as coach with Munster and Ireland age-grade sides. His assistants will be named at a later date. He joins Paul Keeler (San Francisco) and Luke Gross (Sacramento) as head coaches. The league has announced four of the five teams that will play in the upcoming season meaning there are still two head coaching vacancies to fill.

PRO Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of Ray Egan as Head Coach for the San Diego team in PRO Rugby’s 2016 inaugural season. Ray Egan is a native of Ireland and a graduate of Loughborough University. Egan has an extensive coaching background with both Munster and Ireland age grade teams. As an Elite Player Development Coach for Munster, he worked with several current Irish National team players. He has most recently served as Head Coach for PRP side Belmont Shore as well as Director of Coaching for the Southern California Griffins. In addition, he is a Regional Academy Director for Tiger Rugby.
