DI Recap: SoCal Busy, Huns Beat HARC, & More

It was a relatively quiet weekend for DI clubs around the country. We take a look at who played.

Red River

The Austin Huns picked up a much needed win as they beat HARC 40-27 last Saturday. The Huns now sit firmly in third in the table although they have played a match more than the Griffins. Against HARC on Saturday the Huns ran out to a 7-0 lead thanks to a Brian Welborn try. HARC answered with a try from Grant Moffat but Kyle Breytenbach's first effort of the day followed by two tries from Thierry Daupin and another Breytenbach try but the Huns up 28-7. HARC pulled one try back through Thomas Johnston but that was quickly stuffed out with a try from Ratu Rokodulu. HARD were able to make a match of it and climb back within 13 thanks to a try from Zach Flowerman and then later Daniel Aaron but a try from Craig Welborn sealed it for the Huns.

Pacific North

There was only one match in the Pacific North over the weekend with Santa Rosa beating SFGG 32-5. Ratu Tamaibeka, Justin Stine (twice), Ilivasi Navia, Tyson Cummings, and Matt Klein had tries.

Pacific South

In the Pacific South OMBAC put up a big score on Pasadena 63-17 while the Old Aztecs did even better by beating Santa Monica 99-0. The Dolphins were depleted with players in PRP play, something that also impacted Belmont Shore as they lost to Los Angeles 62-5.
