TIAR Awards, Women Eagles Player of the Year: Jane Paar

The Women Eagles only played three matches this year, all at the Super Series, so it's hard to get a complete read on the team. However, in that short span they did beat Canada while losing to England and New Zealand. In those three matches several players stood out, including Hope Rogers, our College Player of the Year, and Kelsi Stockert, our Club 7s Player of the Year. They could both easily take home this award as could Kimber Rozier who provided solid kicking. All that said, for us it was Jane Paar that really stood out.

The center started all three matches and captained the side at times during the tournament. She played every single minute. It was a tough tournament for the Eagles but Paar did a great job of leading by example and keeping the team as focused as possible. Paar was particularly impressive against Canada where she scored the team's opening try and stay firmed throughout the match. As the Eagles enter the year before a World Cup there are going to need to rely on the likes of Paar even more.

All TIAR Awards are brought to you by Canterbury USA. For all your team gear as well as replica jerseys make sure to check them out.  #CommittedToTheGame
