Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Samu Manoa made his return for Toulon this week but had to come off in the 33rd minutes. Elsewhere, other players that saw good time include Greg Peterson, Cam Dolan, and AJ MacGinty. Hayden Smith also played for the first time in a awhile. It was a great weekend Europe for Americans with everyone winning except for Dave Ryan with Agen and Sam Underhill with the Ospreys. Just an addition note on Underhill. It looks like he'll be called into England sooner rather than later now that the RFU has somewhat relaxed their "overseas" policy and once he gains his cap he'll be off our list.

Of the teams will Americans, only MacGinty and Connacht made the final eight in the Challenge Cup. Saracens and Toulon are the only teams in the Champions Cup to do the same. Tom Bliss and Ealing will not advance in the British & Irish Cup.
